Let's get moving

Findings from our recent Sports Survey reveal that a third of parents felt that the school did not offer enough of the right type of sports or alternative activities for their child. In addition, there were several reports of children being left on the sidelines, both in PE lessons and school trips. We want to work with schools, policy makers and other individuals and organisations to ensure that heart children have the opportunity to take part in sports and activities that are right for them. The Minister for Sport, Gerry Sutcliffe MP, has signed up to Children's Heart Federation "Let's Get Moving" campaign, which calls for the full inclusion of children and young people with heart conditions in exercise at school and in the community.
