Run for the Heart

If you fancy taking part in a run, take a look at what we have coming up:

Hambleden Horseplay
27th March 2010
Hambleden Estate, Henley-On-Thames

This is a brand new high octane off-road running event.  The tough 10k and 5k courses will pit you against gnarly woodland trails, mud, steep banks and pastures, water features, special 'human horse jumps', more mud, and the very setting of Sleep Hollow - the Johnny Depp movie.  And here is a first; horse jumps in the dark!  Yes, the 10k course will take you into the night.

Set in the glorious Home Counties of England, it would be befitting to dress appropriately, so if you do fancy donning your Country finest, you won't be alone!  By all means feel free to dig out those jodhpurs, riding boots, smart red coats and pantomime horse outfits!

Registration fee: 5k  - £15
                          10k - £25
Sponsorship level - No set amount

If you would like to take part in this run, book your place online and let us know that you have chosen to take part on our behalf.  We will support you through your fundraising efforts.  Hurry, before place run out!

Namibia Ultra Marathon
24th May - 31st May 2010

As seen on Blue Peter earlier on this year when this event was taken on by Helen Skelton, this is one of the toughest and most challenging runs to take on.

You will race 126km in 24 hours across the vast expanse of desert, through the endless space of gravel plains framed by distant ridges and mountains, past dramatic upheavals of granite inselbergs and all under the clearest of blue skies during the day and a full moon during the night.

This race is of extreme nature and should not be taken on lightly.  You will need to train hard to undertake this ultra marathon, which requires you to be completely self reliant from start to finish, in temperatures ranging from 5c min to 36c max.

Registration fee: £150
Sponsorship target: £3,000
