Molly's Dolly

Parents often find it very difficult to explain and introduce the idea of heart surgery and the resulting scars on the body to small children.

Children's Heart Federation have come up with the idea of using a rag doll to help children with heart conditions - Mollies Dollies. A Molly’s Dolly is a specially made rag (male/female) doll with surgical scars. These dolls can be used to introduce the idea of operations and scars to your child.

How to order a Molly's Dolly
The dolls are available free of charge if the order is endorsed by a health care professional (e.g. Cardiac Liaison Nurse). Download the application form to be completed by a health care professional.
